Bike Ride!

The other evening Audrey and I went out to play in the park with the scramble bug.

We do this fairly often, as we're lucky enough to have the park right by our shared garden, just a few steps from our front door.

Audrey is getting really good on the scramble bug now, and can make it go backwards but not quite forwards yet. Still she loves to sit on it and be pushed along the path. Check out this little video!

Her walking is very strong now, and she can walk backwards too. Walking on the grass is very interesting, she loves to feel different textures under her feet. It's a bit more challenging but a lot of fun.

She's still amazed by her shadow.

And she still hates to wear her hat, and throws it to the ground when she remembers she's wearing it.

She follows EVERY dog she sees, pointing and grinning and shrieking and saying "wuh wuh" (woof woof). She points at the birds in flight above the field. She points to the trees when the blossom starts falling with the wind.

Her current big thing is dandelions, she so carefully pinches them between her little fingers and picks them out of the ground, then holds them out proudly to me.

After a while she ran out of go, and sat herself down on the ground and refused to budge. I carried her most of the way home, her sleepy little head tucked into the corner of my neck.

Then it was time for bath and tooth brushing (she has three teeth now!), time for pyjamas and story time and hugs goodnight from Dada. Time for bed, to dream about scramble bugging no doubt.

Night night Audrey Bea.
