We're starting to get into a good sleep routine in the evenings now. It all starts with bath time, then baby massage before getting dressed in warm, soft, snuggly clean pyjamas. Then it's time for a feed and a story in the darkened bedroom, before being rocked to sleep in the crib with her special bunny blanket from Aunty Holly. Towards the end of my pregnancy, when I was getting nervous about the birth, I hung the bunny blanket up on the wall in the nursery so that I could see it and remember why I was going through this, and focus on the amazing times to come.
Her sleep at night is getting better and better, and I find myself lying awake and hoping she'll wake up soon because I miss my night time cuddles.
Of course, the daytime sleeps are still very sporadic and unpredictable. Cute, though!

Family
We spent the day yesterday out at Gavia (Ian's parents' house) visiting family. Audrey got to meet lots of new people, including her cousin Rory.
She also met Aunty Karen
And Uncle Drew
There was Aunty Katy
There was Carol
And Aaron
There was Kirsten and Pete
And their boys Angus and Rowan
Jim and Maria were there, and we found out that they are expecting their own wee one in November!
And, of course, Nana and Grandad were there too!
It was wonderful to see the little ones interacting with each other. It took me back to summers with my own cousins and all the fun we had.
It's wonderful to see how much the family has in common. There were times when I could really see the resemblance!
It was a really fantastic day all round.
Lots of love, Audrey Bea.

Father's Day
Today is Ian's first Father's Day as a dad. We've been having a nice, quiet day at home, and now we're just back from an expedition to the shops to get ingredients for a Father's Day dinner which Ian himself is cooking!
I've been thinking a lot about all the dads in my life, and how each one of them is important to me and part of my family, and what that means. Audrey has a lot of great people that she can call family, and today is a day to celebrate a bunch of them!
People like Grandad Steve and Great-Grandad Bill -
People like Grandad Terry and Great-Grandad Emrys
And let's not forget Grandad Pop!
We had a little picnic with Grandad Pop this week, it was fun.
But today we're especially celebrating Audrey's dad. The loveliest...
...silliest...
...bestest dad in the world.
