Thursdays

The past couple of days have been very exciting. I've had a few days off work and so I finally had time to order a whole bunch of stuff for the little Audrey Bean. Audrey got some money for her birthday to buy toys with, and although we did buy some fun stuff with some of it at the time we also had some left over that I just never got round to sorting out. Fast forward to last night when I was up until 1am building a wooden easel with a blackboard and whiteboard and all the whistles and bells! No photos for just now, I'm saving it for when she has her first go at painting (oh yes, we ordered paints too). But oh wow, I wish you could have seen her little sleepy face this morning when she woke up and came downstairs. "Wow wow wow" she said and ran over and grabbed the chalk and instantly started drawing!

For now I'll catch you up on more of our holiday (are you sick of it yet? :P)

On the Thursday morning of our holiday we went with Holly and Sam down to the seafront in Blackpool and bought rock from tacky shops and hunted for postcards.

Did I mention that Audrey loves the beach?

Once she spotted the sea she was so eager to be down there with it.

The tide was coming in fast.

We washed our shoes in the swell.

And drew in the sand.

Afterwards we walked back along the front, past tram lines and the waiting illuminations.

That afternoon we drove over to Great Nana and Great Grandad Plummer's house in Knott End, right by the sea wall.

We didn't waste any time at all getting back to the ocean. By evening the tide was way out and we walked along the giant rock wall and remembered when we were young and Grandad Steve would take us out to the rock pools looking for crabs.

It was the first time Audrey had visited Nana and Grandad Plummer's place, although we found out we were expecting Audrey while we were staying there last - two years ago now! So wonderful to be back there with her.

Right. Little lady will be waking up from her nap soon, and it's time for another adventure. See you tomorrow for more holiday blogging!
