Today we went on an adventure to the beach with Uncle David and Aunty Katy. The weather was absolutely glorious, and the beach was packed with people. It's a sight rarely seen in Scotland, and we felt like we were on holiday in Spain or somewhere similar - there were people swimming in the sea, children building sandcastles, people sunbathing and playing badminton and burying their sleeping friends in sand. Great fun for Audrey's first day at the seaside!
We found a place in the warm sand to sit and enjoy a picnic while Uncle David and Aunty Katy's dog Hurley had fun playing on the beach. The weather was so clear and bright we could see right across the bay.
Audrey was slathered with baby sunscreen and wore her butterfly sun hat. She had a great time.
Also Audrey got to paddle her feet in the sea - her very first contact with the ocean.
Look at those chubby little legs! She's growing huge.
We went back to David and Katy's house after the beach for an impromptu barbecue.
Hurley was so sweet, and so curious about Audrey Bea.
Audrey saw some beautiful lillies before we came home in time for our bedtime routine. Last night she slept through for over 8 hours, from 9pm to gone 5am! Then she had a big feed and slept several more hours. Way to go Audrey Bea!
Lovely photos, I like the one of Hurley lying beside Audrey in her car seat, the two of them are so cute together! And the her first paddle, so sweet the way she is looking down at the water. Do you mind if I put a couple your pics on my facebook page so my friends can see Audrey? David has finally gone to get my camera back today! Love Katy x
ReplyDeleteSure you can, Katy! I'm glad you like the pics :) Thanks for taking the ones of her dipping her feet in the ocean!
